Earthea Nance, Ph.D., P.E., CFM is associate dean and associate professor in the School of Public Affairs at Texas Southern University. Nance’s research examines environmental hazards in vulnerable urban settings, as well as the intersection of science and social policy in managing the environment. She served as the director of disaster mitigation planning for New Orleans’ recovery from Hurricane Katrina.
