The Water Institute Participates in Louisiana Trade Mission to Cuba

Oct 14, 2016

Havana, Cuba — Director of Planning, Coordination, and Outreach at The Water Institute of the Gulf Nick Speyrer returned to the office this week after representing the Institute in Cuba for a Louisiana Trade Mission with Governor John Bel Edwards, Louisiana Economic Development, Baton Rouge Area Foundation, and other political and community leaders.

The group spent the last week helping to set the stage for greater economic and cultural exchanges between our state and the nation of Cuba, and Nick played a key role in ensuring that these conversations leveraged all that coastal Louisiana has to offer. We look forward to seeing the progress our state is able to make as a result of this opportunity.
