Kristen Green, controller at the Institute, bring years of experience in finance and controller activity overseeing millions in revenue yearly and being responsible for budget preparation, audit and tax coordination, cash flow management, accounting, and more. Green graduated with a bachelor’s in accounting from Louisiana Tech University and with a Master of Professional Accountancy from Louisiana Tech University. As a certified public accountant licensed in Louisiana, Green performs 40 hours of continuing professional education every year. Prior to joining the Institute, Green was an investigative auditor with the Louisiana Legislative Auditor from June 2000 to Nov. 2002, before joining a real estate firm as chief financial officer, and then returned to the Louisiana Legislative Auditor as senior compliance auditor from Aug. 2005 to April 2006. Directly prior to joining the Institute, Green was controller at a commercial general contractor that averaged $20 million in yearly revenue.
