Carl Hershner, Ph.D., is the director of the Center for Coastal Resources Management at the Virginia Institute of Marine Science (VIMS) and a professor in the School of Marine Science at the College of William and Mary. Hershner has been extensively involved in the Chesapeake Bay Program for most of his career.
