Martijn Bregman is a Research Associate within the Natural Systems Modeling and Monitoring group of The Water Institute of the Gulf. He joins the Institute from the Netherlands where he recently graduated from his master's in civil engineering at Delft University of Technology, specialized in hydraulic engineering. He wrote his thesis as a graduate research intern with Deltares, in the Department of River Dynamics and Inland Shipping focusing on a new parameterization method for spiral flow in river bends. Prior to that, Bregman also worked as an intern at Rijkswaterstaat (Executive Agency of the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management) studying coastline development and coastal maintenance practices of several countries along the European North Sea.
